About
What this site does
One job: take a video and shrink it to a size Discord will accept, then hand it back as a file you can drop straight into a channel. You pick the target size, the page encodes to fit it, and you download the result. The output is always MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, because that is the combination Discord plays inline instead of turning into a link.
Why it runs in the browser
The usual route is upload, wait, sign in, download — and somewhere in the middle your file sits on someone else's disk. This page skips all of that. FFmpeg is compiled to WebAssembly and loaded into the tab, so the encoding happens on the machine the video is already on. Nothing is uploaded, no account exists to sign into, and there is no watermark.
Who runs it
One independent developer, building and maintaining this page. No company behind it, no team, no investors.
How the numbers are chosen
The size tiers on the home page follow Discord's own documentation rather than second-hand summaries. Where Discord's pages contradict each other — the paid ceiling is 1 GB in one and 500 MB in another — this site marks the smaller figure and says so on the page instead of quietly picking one.
What it does not do
- No batch processing. One file at a time, on purpose.
- No accounts, no history, no cloud storage.
- No editing, trimming, or filters — only compression to a size.
